Les Plantes Chinon Blanc

  • White

A newer cuvée than the historic “Le Clos,” “Les Plantes” comes from younger vines of Chenin Blanc planted outside the confines of the walls surrounding the chateau itself. A small-production wine of just 4,000 bottles per year, it spends six months aging in stainless steel on the fine lees after a spontaneous fermentation in steel, and it offers a profile less oily and dense than that of Le Clos, with fruits more citrus-leaning and a breezy yet bright texture.
